Medical Treatment

• Immediate family members of a Czech Republic citizen (spouse and children) – provided they accompany or join the Czech citizen in the Czech territory,
• Family members of citizens of EU Member States and EEA – provided they accompany or join the citizen in the Czech territory,
• Holders of diplomatic passports travelling in official capacity,
• Pupils, students, postgraduate students and teachers accompanying them when traveling to school, university and professional training,
• Researchers travelling to do research as noted in Recommendation 2005/761/EC of the European Parliament and Council of 28 September 2005,
• Representatives of non-profit organizations up to the age of 25 travelling to attend seminars, conferences, sport, culture or educational events organized by non-profit organizations.

Please Note:

• Applicants will be paying a service fee of BWP 327.00 (including VAT)
• The applicable Visa Fee and Service fee in BWP are as per the current rate of exchange set monthly by the Embassy of the Czech Republic. It is subject to change, without any prior notice.
• All fees are non-refundable.

Applicants need to submit their Application form with the new photo format, as explained below:

The photo must fulfill the norm specified by the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization).

• Use plain light-colored background.
• The photo must be no more than 6-months old.
• Not tilted picture (portrait style) showing both edges of face clearly.
• Close up of the head and top of the shoulders so that the face takes up 70–80% of the photograph.
• Photo in sharp focus and clear.

Photo Size

The photo for each visa applicant submitted must measure:

• The picture dimensions must be 240 pixels wide by 320 pixels high at least. A smaller picture will be rejected. For instance, a photo being 235 pixels by 320 pixels is not valid.
• On the other hand, the photo should keep a proportion of 3.5 x 4.5 (width x height) within limits. However, 250 x 340 pixels picture would be valid, but not a 290 x 340 pixels one.
• Finally, the image weight (size in Kbytes) can never be bigger than 120 Kbytes. Finally, the image weight (size in Kbytes) can never be bigger than 120 Kbytes.

Standard visa processing time is 15 calendar days from the day of receipt of the application at the Embassy. In case the documents are not submitted as per requirements or due to other factors or justified reasons, the processing time may be extended to 45 days.
